Perspective, sometimes called view, is the bottom right arrow of the chart. According to the teaching, it describes what your eye picks up first when you look at a situation.
Where to read your color
It is read from the birth lunar nodes. As with environment, the color rarely changes with the birth time; the arrow direction needs a more reliable time.
Across 2,000 random births, moving the time 15 minutes later changes this color in 0.8% of cases, and one hour later in 1.8%. The tone, which sets the arrow direction, changes far more often. Without a precise birth time, read this page as a list of hypotheses. The full shift table is on the variables page.
Our calculator does not show variables yet, for that reason. Spread of the 6 colors across 20,000 random births between 1950 and 2010, calculated with our engine:
1 · Survival
You first see what holds or threatens: risk and what allows things to last.
For 2 weeks, after each important meeting or conversation, write down the first thing you noticed. At the end, sort your notes by theme.
2 · Possibility
You first see the open options: what could be tried.
For 2 weeks, after each important conversation, note the first idea that came to you. Count the ones about an option to try.
3 · Power
You first see who decides and who carries weight: the balance of influence.
For 2 weeks, after each meeting, note who you looked at first and why. Sort your notes at the end.
4 · Wanting
You first see what people want: what draws them and what has value for them.
For 2 weeks, after each exchange, note what you think the other person wanted, then check when you can. Count your correct reads.
5 · Probability
You first see the odds: what is most likely to happen, numbers in hand.
For 2 weeks, before each decision, write your own estimate as a percentage. Check your scores afterwards.
6 · Personal
You first see what the situation means for each person: their story, their place.
For 2 weeks, after each important conversation, note the first person you thought of and why. Sort your notes at the end.
Transference
According to the teaching, perspective also has an opposite color, three steps away: survival and wanting, possibility and probability, power and personal. If your notes mostly land on the color opposite yours, that is a data point worth keeping.
Our reservations
- No study links the lunar nodes to the way people observe.
- Some sources call this variable “view”, and the names of its colors vary slightly from one school to another.
- The color names come from Ra Uru Hu’s teaching (Jovian Archive). No study backs the system (details here).
Variables come after the basics. Start with your type and your authority.
