Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love in Human Design

Its 4 gates

In Ra Uru Hu’s teaching, the name “Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love” sums up how these 4 gates meet. Read them one by one: that is where the concrete content sits.

Gate 25 · G center

Open heart

You love life without conditions, with a spontaneous trust that disappointments never quite put out.

This love goes out to life as a whole, people and animals alike, more than to any one person.

Gate 46 · G center

Good timing

Once you commit fully, lucky timing tends to find you: the right door opens just as you walk past it.

Your body is a precious ally, and you treat it with respect and care.

Gate 10 · G center

At ease

Staying true to how you are matters, even when not everyone likes it.

You love your life as it comes, challenges included, and follow your convictions even when others find them thin.

Gate 15 · G center

Shifting rhythms

Your rhythms vary a lot from one period to the next, and you are easygoing with people unlike you.

You swing between action and withdrawal, company and solitude, with no predictable pattern.

Its 4 variants

The same name covers 4 Sun gates. The 4 gates stay the same; only their places change. Your variant depends on the gate of your birth Sun.

Variant	Gates	Birth Sun	Quarter	Frequency
1	25/46 \| 10/15	March 19 to March 24	Initiation	0.81%
2	15/10 \| 25/46	June 20 to June 24	Civilization	1.2%
3	46/25 \| 15/10	September 21 to September 26	Duality	0.81%
4	10/15 \| 46/25	December 20 to December 25	Mutation	0.85%

First two numbers: Sun and Earth at your birth. Last two: Sun and Earth about 88 days earlier, the part of the chart called the “design”. Birth Sun dates are for a typical year, give or take a day.

The angle: right angle

The angle comes from the profile alone: here, profiles 1/3, 1/4, 2/4, 2/5, 3/5, 3/6 and 4/6. The teaching describes a theme that plays out mostly along your own track: you live it for yourself first, and others cross it along the way. In our sample, 64.7% of charts have a cross with this angle. The 3 angles explained.

The quarters

Quarter of Initiation: the teaching links this quarter with the mind (understanding and making sense). Covers the Sun in gate 25.

The 2-week test

Try this

For 14 days, keep a note with 5 columns: Open heart (gate 25), Good timing (gate 46), At ease (gate 10), Shifting rhythms (gate 15), plus a control column, Inner bearing (gate 2), which is not part of this cross. Each evening, reread the line for each gate above and tick the ones that described a real moment of your day, with a word on what happened. After 2 weeks, count the ticks. According to the teaching, the gate of your birth Sun should come out on top. If the 4 cross columns do not clearly beat the control column, give this name little weight.

Same Sun gates, other angles

Someone born with the Sun in gate 25, 15, 46 or 10 has one of these crosses, depending on their profile:
